Is there a particular story you would want the world to know about?
At the end of my sixth grade year, I developed a bone disease in my hip. I had surgery and physical therapy and was in the hospital for 28 days. I wore leg braces for nine months and I was on crutches for two years. I was told that I could not run or play any contact sports. While in the hospital I met a small boy suffering with rheumatoid arthritis. With a ventriloquist dummy I received for Christmas, I went to his room to sing to him the song, “Jesus Loves Me” and he stopped crying from his pain. He smiled at me. Later, his mother came to my room to thank me. She said that her little boy had not smiled in a long time. She said that God had used me to help her son. Later that night, alone in my room, I prayed to God with a concern for what I could do in the future. God answered me, and told me that he wanted to use me to make a difference in other people’s lives. After my sophomore year at the University of Georgia, I served as a summer missionary in California. It was there that God called me into student ministry.
